Community Tree Planting Day

After the wettest start to the year on record and an extremely water logged site (our 2023 draining work working brilliantly though!), nerves were high at the start of the week. Fortunately though we couldn't really have asked for a better day - a little wet and muddy in places but it was dry and the sun was shining for much of the day.

We were incredibly pleased with the show of support from both Barby and Onley communities - we had over 100 volunteers come in total. We must make a special mention to the team from Crick Woodlands who brought 8 experienced volunteers to help us - they've been supportive of our project from its conception.

Throughout the day (actually in just a few hours) we planted approximately 650 trees in total and the community part of the site is now complete and we are open for tree sponsorship.
